How Does It Work

Order GI Bracelets from www.gi-bracelet.org and donate $1 to a military charity of your choice
Resell the GI Bracelets for $2 to $5 (what has worked very well is the "voluntary donation system", where you allow the purchasers to donate as much as they like)
Use the proceed to subsidize your individual efforts, or for Soldiers' Angels projects

What To Do With The Proceed

We've come to learn that you all put in a lot of time, energy, and your own money to support our troops and their families. We hope this partnership can help subsidize your effort.

As far as GI Bracelet and Soldiers' Angels Foundation are concerned, if you keep the proceed from your sales to yourself, it is okay:

You've already donated $1 per bracelet towards the charity of your choice.
You've already put in more of your own money towards the cause than any proceed from selling the GI Bracelets.

But if you are doing okay financially and would like to donate the proceed to Soldiers' Angels Foundation, that's okay also.

Lack of Discount

We wish there is a way for us to offer you deep discount with GI Bracelet so you could raise more money to subsidize your individual effort or for Soldiers' Angels Foundation. However, we committed ourselves that the purchase price of each GI Bracelet is donated to a first class charity that helps our troops and their families. Therefore we are operating off the "shipping, manufacturing, and all expenses" charge. And that covers manufacturing, inventory, shipping, credit card charge, computer and other equipments, Internet, labor, and operational and logistical costs.

We have, however, adjusted the per bracelet charge to anticipate orders with larger quantities:

Packaging and Display

We didn't anticipate to "retail" the GI Bracelets, so we didn't spend money on the plastic packaging. The expectation was that when people order GI Bracelets, all the information are already on the Web site.

So, below are PDF files to help you with fundraising. Please let us know if you have suggestions for better presentation.

Business Card

Hand this out with each GI Bracelet.

Print this file, trim 0.25" off the margins (all 4 sides), and cut to 3.5" x 2" business card size.

Kinkos or Office Depot can take the PDF files and print them--giving them the PDF file yields much better quality prints than photocopying.

8.5" x 11" Flyer / Signs

Prints on regular letter size paper. (Work in progress...)

Authorized to Resell

Public announcement that Soldiers' Angels are authorized to resell GI Bracelets can be found here. That page is linked in from the bottom of the home page, the FAQ page, and the news page.

Don't Over Order!

Please don't order more GI Bracelets than you think you could sell. With each purchase, the donation amount is posted on the Web site with the running total updated. And donation checks are mailed out to all charity organizations each week. So we will not be able to refund your purchases because your donations will have been sent out to the charity organization of your choice!
